The National Park Service in the U.S. is a great place to start when searching for destinations near you. Visit their website, www.nps.gov, to search for National Parks and Monuments near you. You might be surprised how many are close by! There are resources on the NPS website to help you plan your trip.

There are over 2,600 National Historic Landmarks in the U.S. Find a Historic Landmark near you and visit a piece of American History and Culture.
We are in the U.S. and are familiar with the agencies and services here. If you are looking for destinations outside the U.S., try searching the local government websites for National Parks. Britannica also has a list of National Parks throughout the world.
We will do what we can to help others find resources, but this is not a typical travel blog. The main goal of this project is to hold ourselves accountable and take advantage of our proximity to bucket list destinations. Hopefully, as we document our adventures, we will inspire others to do the same.
